So this is for all those families that are preparing to begin school and are still looking for some family based activities that have an educational or cultural appeal.  No doubt after your relocation to London you’ve seen the major sights, Buckingham Palace, the Tower Bridge and the like, but what have you done to immerse your children in Britain’s history?  For Americans moving to London, you may think that an international relocation doesn’t leave time for cultural history lessons, ah but untrue.  Here is a great day out that will peak any 9 or 10 years olds interest and still be fun for the teens, and, hey it’s educational to boot.

I’m speaking of the London Dungeon.  This place is a perfect choice for Americans who know little about England’s dark history (other than the Revolutionary War of course).  With the UK so steeped in history there’s simply no way your relocation UK you had time or the creativity to teach England’s gory history like the actors at The London Dungeon.  With 14 different live shows performed daily, there’s little in Brittan’s dark history they don’t cover.

The London Dungeon puts on productions starring all the worst criminals, and dark leaders of the want to be forgotten past.  From Sweeney Todd to Jack the Ripper, from Bloody Mary to the Great Plague and the Great Fire, all are acted out and displayed in gruesome detail.  While there may be a shock factor involved it does base all the acts on actual events so it’s a somewhat blood chilling history lesson, but one that won’t soon be forgotten.

With summer rates discounted and a number of rides included it is definitely a fun day out for you and the kids after a long process of relocation to London.  Who couldn’t use a little off color fun combined with thrilling rides and the history that all of London knows but doesn’t like to talk about?
